Ridgecolne Training

Ridgecolne have been training plant operators, for some of the biggest construction companies in the UK, for more than 10 years. We have updated our training procedures, as the times have changed, from CITB to the CPCS license, that most companies require their operators to hold today.
Areas of training covered are:
New Operator Training starts with a Health and Safety touch screen test, followed by 5 days training and ending with a practical test. Once this has been achieved you will be sent a CPCS New Operator Card. This will then be followed up by an NVQ assessment. When this has been completed, you will receive a Experienced Operator Licence.

Experienced Operator Training starts with a Health and Safety touch screen test. You will then carry out the practical test and will receive your CPCS licence once passed. Again, this will be followed up by an NVQ assessment, so you can receive your Full Licence.

NVQ Assessments are carried out over a number of visits, whereby your machines are assessed. The areas covered include; taking photographs of work, writing statements about work colleagues, providing answers to technical questions and taking evidence of work completed.
These are the training services we offer:
  • Training operators who are new to the industry
  • Advanced training for operators who are experienced in machine operations
  • Assessing operators for NVQ qualification
  • Auditing of Contractors employees, to see if re-training is required
  • Supply stand-in operators to contractors, while their operators are being trained
  • Arranging Health and Safety touch screen tests for renewals and new tests
  • All registration details and bookings carried out
